Uploading the Website today! Stylistically it is very similar to the old site, but looks can be deceiving.
Things that are different:
- Working Intentionally Message is very different
- Content is radically different.
- New Menu system
- LivingIntentionally Model is shared
- All of the menu items now link to completed pages. In the last rendition of the site, there were a lot of "Coming Soon" pages. In this site there are only a couple of instances, where I am still doing research, but even then they are relegated to the bottom of the page.
- This Blog is playing a larger role in the new website. Since this business of coaching is really about the relationship between the client and coach - here is my opportunity to share what I am about and what I am thinking.
Hope you enjoy the new site. I will send out a newsletter announcement when it has completely posted.
Be well and treat life well today -
THANK YOU for being here today.

SiamWEB.ORG : How to find inner peace under American Imperialism
While looking for the text of Rule #6 I ran across this odd little site from a Thai perspective.
Wed 14 Apr 2004
The first time I came across the Rule Number 6 story was in the Atlanta ICF Conference in 2002 with Benjamin Zander giving the keynote on the Art of Possibility - Mr. Zander is the conductor for the Boston Philharmonic. The story is repeated and flushed out in Rosamund & Benjamin Zander’s book The Art of Possibility where they go into applying it to life, sex, peeling the personal onion to the central self, etc.
Remember Rule Number 6
| Two prime ministers are sitting in a room discussing affairs of state. Suddenly a man bursts in shouting and stamping and banging his fist on the desk. The resident prime minister admonishes him. "Peter," he says, "kindly remember rule number 6," whereupon Peter is instantly restored to complete calm, apologizes, and withdraws.
The politicians return to their conversation, only to be interrupted yet again twenty minutes later by a hysterical woman gesticulating wildly, her hair flying. Again the intruder is greeted with the words: "Marie, please remember rule number 6." Complete calm descends once more, and she too withdraws with a bow and an apology.
When the scene is repeated a third time, the visiting prime minister addresses his colleague: "My dear friend, I’ve seen many things in my life, but never anything as remarkable as this. Would you be willing to share with me the secret of rule number 6?"
"Very simple," replies the resident prime minister. "Rule number 6 is ‘Don’t take yourself so seriously.’"
"Ah," says his visitor, "that is a fine rule." After a moment of pondering, he inquires, "And what, may I ask, are the other rules?"
"There aren’t any." |

I’ll let the haiku speak for itself - Its been a magical morning.
Troubled sleep, early morning walk
Loons laughing at me
Rule Number 6*
morning dawn songbirds wake
loons cry - me cry
all is well
loons laugh - me laugh
loons cry - me cry
isn’t life grand
blessed dawn
glasslike lake
stirring
"Isn’t it beautiful?"
a loon, a lake, a dawn
yeah

This Easter morning I ventured out around the lake (Harriet) to be greeted with a wonderful and rare sight. LOONS!
Last weekend while I was on retreat up north the lakes in the city thawed. Kind of eerie especially have just walking on seriously frozen Gunflint Lake 6 hours away.
The loons are migrating. They are making their trek north, but meanwhile hanging out in the middle of "my" lake diving deep.
I was reminded of something I learned last year - Loons dive deep. Where are you diving deep these days?
FYI This is not my photo, it belongs to ©Harold Lindstrom and can be found on enature’s website with a recorded call of the loon and other bird facts. http://www.enature.com/fieldguides/detail.asp?fotogID=694&curPageNum=1&recnum=BD0132

Well, three & a half days of being away from email, telephones, email, and news is a good thing. A cabin wallpapered with 3M flipchart paper, a comfy bed, a jacuzzi, and a fireplace. I wanted one more day.
Here is a new drawing for the LivingIntentionally Model. This time it starts with Intimacy & Ultimacy. They are not really steps though one can walk through the model. They are elements, where if all are in place one starts to see clearly and the answers appear. Each element feeds and enhances the others.
These are the Five Elements of LivingIntentionally.
- Engage and Connect what is Intimate with what is Ultimate. Be in relationship with it. Listen to what it shares with you (your lifeforce and that which is greater)
- Keep It Simple/Simplify
- Tell the Truth / Your Soul’s Truth
- Engage the Conversations that Matters (who, what’s the question?)
- Be Present
I am "Be(ing) a potter of my own clay." Part of my retreat involved working with some Planning On Purpose cards from the Hudson Institute and this one rose to the top. The others on top were - Staying Healthy, Better Networking, Playing & Being Playful, and Inner Peace. These are also elements of Sustainability of the Bigger Game Model for my own Bigger Game.
For those of you not familiar with this model, I developed it in 2002. This is a model for LivingIntentionally, WorkingIntentionally™, coaching, and BEing. It came to me in the Spring of 2002 and I had it hiding in the closet of my mind until last Fall when I shared it with the Bigger Game workshop. I am now using it with my clients and we are making great breakthroughs.
